US Army // Training Center / Color - (BRANCH IMMATERIAL)
Training Centers of the US Army are authorized important and distinctive organizational flags. Designs are as follows:
There are five types of Training Center: Armor, Engineer, Field Artillery, Infantry and Branch Immaterial. For all but Infantry, the field of the flag is in the primary branch color, the canton and fringe are in the secondary branch color, with the branch insignia in the canton in the primary branch color. Infantry Training Center flags have a national flag blue field, a white canton with national flag blue branch insignia, and white fringe.
Non branch-oriented Training Centers have flags with a teal blue field and a yellow canton, with the insignia for Branch Immaterial in the canton in teal blue. Brigades and battalions of Training Centers have flags of the same pattern with their numerical designations added in the secondary branch color.
The last time that branch-oriented Training Centers operated on a large scale was during the Vietnam War. None exist today, and they are unlikely to reappear unless the United States should fully mobilize for war.
