"Desert Storm 91 Victory" souvenir flag - Gulf War, 1991.
This flag boasts a bright red background that also features a total of six different insignias, which stand in two rows and boast three in each row. The top emblem is in the centre and it consists of a stylized shield complete with a fairly detailed map of the Middle East. Underneath the shield there is a white scroll that features the words in black: DESERT STORM. In red, the year numeral "91" can be seen between DESERT STORM. There is a whole host of other emblems that are basically stylized symbols that stand to represent the United States Armed Forces. They include: the US Marine Corps, US Air Force, US Navy, US Coast Guard and the US Army.
Along the top fly edge just above the various emblems is the word VICTORY that has been written in block capital letters. The copyright inscription © UNITED MART 1991 can be seen below the emblems, although it is worth pointing out that the legality of copyrighting anything from any US Armed Forces insignia or emblem is always questionable.
This flag doesn't have any official status and it is purely intended for the mass market. It primarily appeals to veterans of the Gulf War in 1991 both for reunion or memorabilia and home use.
