This souvenir scarf/handkerchief was created to commemorate the centennial of the Star Spangled Banner ,September 6th to 13th, 1914, held Baltimore, MD at the Star Spangled Banner Flag House.
The design is a white silk square bordered in international flags; inside the border in each corner, is a staggered 48 star U.S. flag; in the center is an overprint of the stylized arms of the event. The scarf is inscribed, National Star spangled Banner Centennial above the arms, Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America to the right of the arms; September 6th 13th 1914; and below the arms Commemorating The Successful Defense of Baltimore at North Point and Ft. McHenry The Birth of the Star Spangled Banner The Achievement of National Independence A Century of Peace and Progress.
