ZFC3183

US // Infantry Style Guidon / 1st Rgt, Co. L

Sub-collection: U.S. Military

US // Infantry Style Guidon / 1st Rgt, Co. L

Although the sales description of this guidon gives an 1880 date, the actual size would indicate that it was made after the US Army's change to this size in 1931.

Since this is a silk variant with fringe it is suspected that this is a guidon from a military academy rather then the US Army.

Also, the guidon pole does not conform to army regulations.
ZFC3183, ZFC3184 & ZFC3185 acquired as a lot, but pieces separate.
