U.S. 42 Star Flag - Unofficial.

Sub-collection: Mastai - Early American Flags

U.S. 42 Star Flag - Unofficial.
Formally there never was an official 42 star flag. The 42-star flag was never used legally because 5 states were added in 1890 making 43 stars. The 42 Star Flag was made because makers could never be sure which states would be added and made some 42-star flags just in case.
