Germany // Labor Front (DAF) / 1933-1939
Germany, 3rd Reich, Deutsche Arbeitsfront, (DAF) or German Labor Front was, from 1933 to 1939, the organizations that replaced all German trade unions after Hitler came to power. The DAF existed as a facilitator so that both the interests of workers and employers could be mutually represented. The DAF was founded "....for the good of the fatherland...." There were no wage negotiations strikes. They were disbanded after the commencement of the Second World War. This flag is inscribed "From Gene Hurley, Germany 1945." And is assumed to be war booty.
It was acquired as a GI bringback.
