Description of Crest/Emblem

The canton contains stylized applique arms of the United States, with the eagle holding four blue embroidered arrows in the hoist talon and a white embroidered olive branch on the fly talon. The olive branch now appears white or cream, but might have once been green. Centered on the eagles breast is a stylized U.S. shield made of metallic ribbon hand sewn to represent the outline of the US shield. The ribbon is composed of six, very small individual silver colored thin metal strands laid side by side, bordered and held in place by silver wire thread, but now tarnished. The eagles head faced the fly. The eagle has a white open embroidered eye and white embroidered beak detail. The legs and tail have a fine stitched drop shadow effect.
