19. Appomattox Court House Special Exhibit, National Historical Park, Virginia, April 2015

Appomattox, Va. – Appomattox marks the culmination of four years of bloody civil war, a return to peace and the reunification of the Nation. 18. LIFE AND TIMES OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN, Ronald Reagan Library, Simi Valley, CA, 1 June to 30 September 2013

The Reagan Library hosted twenty-five renowned Lincoln collectors, the Zaricor Flag Collection among them and DreamWorks Studios for a major Abraham Lincoln Exhibit. Objects on display include four period Lincoln associated flags from the Zaricor Flag Collection, President Lincoln’s famous stovepipe hat, a bloodied pillow from the night he died, a Lincoln-signed Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment, and sets from DreamWorks’ “Lincoln” Movie. Santa Cruz, CA, MAH’s exhibition Santa Cruz Collects 11 August – 25 November 2012, presents extraordinary collections from Santa Cruz County residents and institutions, exploring the fascinating practice of collecting, both on an individual and institutional level. 16. Smithsonian Institution, National Portrait Gallery, The War of 1812: A Nation Emerges, 14 June 2012 to January 2013

Washington DC, 14 June 2013 to 27 Janurary 2013: An handmade seventeen-star, seventeen-stripe U.S. flag flew on the American schooner Blockade after President James Madison issued a letter of marquee on September 15, 1812, making it a privateer legally permitted to take prizes during the War of 1812. 15. UC Santa Cruz Board of Councilors, Rare Flags, Exhibit, 2012

Santa Cruz, CA, June 7, 2012: The Zaricor Flag Collection exhibited 34 flags and artifacts at the University of California Santa Cruz Campus for the Board of Councilors Meeting. This was a unique opportunity to view the private Zaricor Flag Collection with formal remarks and a Q&A session. Open to students, faculty, staff and the general public. 14. Washington Flag Congress, 2011

Washington, DC & Alexandria, VA, July 31-August 6, 2011: The Zaricor Flag Collection exhibited 11 flags at The Washington Flag Congress, the joint meeting of the 24th International Congress of Vexillology and the 45th annual meeting of the North American Vexillological Association. The ZFC announced the new collection website, offered a public view of recent significant acquisitions, presented recent scholarship on the use of cotton in 18th century America and Mr. Ben Zaricor & family discussed the origins of the ZFC. 13. Winterthur - Betsy Ross: The Life Behind the Legend, 2010-2011

Wilmington, Delaware, October 2, 2010 to January 2, 2011. Winterthur presents Betsy Ross: The Life Behind the Legend. Curated by Prof. Marla Miller of the University of Massachusetts and WinterthurÂ’s Linda Eaton & Katie Knowles, the exhibition explores Betsy Ross as wife, mother, upholsteress and flag-maker. 12. Night of Flags, The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in California, 2009

San Francisco, CA, February 26, 2009: The Zaricor Flag Collection exhibited 19 flags at the McElroy Octagon House, 2456 Gough St., (also known as the Colonial Dames Octagon House). This was in celebration of George Washington's Birthday for the Patriotic Services Committee of the The Colonial Dames of America. 11. War & Dissent: The U.S. in the Philippines, 1989 - 1915, Presidio of San Francisco from October 2008 to February 2009

SAN FRANCISCO, October, 2008: The exhibition War & Dissent: The U.S. in the Philippines, 1989 - 1915 held at the Presidio of San Francisco from October 2008 to February 2009. Developed and presented by the Presidio Trust, the exhibit was seen by more than 10,000 visitors, including 1,500 students with teachers. 9. Presidential Debate, Washington University, 2004

ST. LOUIS, October 8, 2004: A collection of rare American flags has been installed for the Presidential Debate. Gesture by Washington University alumni brings historic perspective to St. Louis debate. Two Washington University graduates have installed ten rare and historically important American flags in the media center for the debates at Washington University in St. Louis. With different star and stripe patterns, methods of manufacture, and uses, the flags show how the U.S. grew and developed throughout the 19th century... Read more>>


8. Star Spangled Banner Flag House & Museum, 2004

BALTIMORE, March 22, 2004: A collection of eleven American maritime flags has been installed at the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House in Baltimore, MD., in conjunction with the 5th Annual Flag Symposium. Ships and coastal installations (both governmental and private) require flags that can be identified from great distances. Exhibited here are several American flags related to such vessels or facilities from the period 1818 to 1893. Read more>>


7. Private Exhibit, The Standard Club, Chicago, Illinois, December, 2003

Chicago, Illinois, 15-18 December 2003: The Zaricor Flag Collection's Flag Center exhibited 16 flags in a private four day exhibit at the Standard Club, 320 South Plymouth St., Chicago, Illinois. The flag exhibition was made available by invitation only to representatives of America's largest corporations, service industries and non-profit institutions in order to familiarize them with the Zaricor Flag collection. 6. Second Presidio Exhibit, 2003

SAN FRANCISCO, May 26, 2003: The American Flag: Two Centuries of Concord & Conflict, an unprecedented exhibition of more than 100 American flags, quilts and related memorabilia on view in San Francisco's Presidio, has been extended through September 30, 2003. Organized by The Flag Center, the extension gives visitors and school groups an additional two months to view one of the largest collections of historic American flags ever assembled. Read more>>

4. First Presidio Exhibit, 2003

SAN FRANCISCO, July 31, 2003: An unprecedented exhibition of more than 100 flags, quilts and flag-related memorabilia from three of the most important private collections in the world opened Memorial Day in San Francisco's Presidio.
